The “neglected diamond” according to the London Sunday Times travel guide or the “emerald is-land”, as we Thassians prefer to call it. Thassos is one of the islands located in the northeastern Aegean Sea. It is one of the most attractive places with beautiful beaches and traditional villages with stunning mountain views. The capital of Thassos is Limenas which is located in the northern part of the island, and has two ports. The backbone of Thassos is flooded with forests.
